Student Affairs Deanship Organizes Workshop on Self-Management

The Student Affairs Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota hosted a noteworthy workshop titled "The Art of Self-Management." The workshop took place on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at the main center, starting at 9:00 AM Mecca Time.

The distinguished Dr. Mahrous Sulaiman delivered the workshop, which primarily targeted university students with the aim of equipping them with a set of knowledge and skills to better manage themselves. The workshop covered four main topics: the essence of self, the concept of self-management, the five T's of self-management, and practical applications.

In a statement to the news administration, Ms. Mariam Mohammed Amr, the director of the Guidance and Counseling Unit, mentioned that the workshop's main goal was to empower students with self-management skills that would help them achieve personal and academic success. The Guidance and Counseling Unit is one of the units under the Student Affairs Deanship, along with the Bachelor's Student Affairs and Graduate Student Affairs units.

This workshop is part of the university's ongoing efforts to develop and enhance the capabilities of its students and provide them with the necessary support in their academic journey. The appointment of Ms. Mariam Mohammed Amr as the director of the Guidance and Counseling Unit reflects the university's commitment to offering the best services and caring for the well-being of its students.

It is expected that this workshop will have several positive effects on the students, as it will assist them in developing self-leadership skills and achieving a balance between academic and personal life. This step demonstrates the university's commitment to supporting students' personal growth and achieving excellence.
