New Statistics on Undergraduate Students
Mr. Suleiman Maqbool, Director of the Undergraduate Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota, announced new statistics indicating that the total number of undergraduate students across all levels and departments has reached 1,607.
The statistics reveal a wide geographical diversity, with students hailing from 58 nationalities across five continents. The breakdown includes 17 nationalities from Asia, 24 from Africa, 8 from Europe, 3 from North America, and one from South America.
The countries represented by the students include Yemen, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Palestine, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Jordan, Afghanistan, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Lebanon, Iraq, Balochistan, Oman, the Philippines, Cambodia, the UAE, Bahrain, Nigeria, Egypt, Djibouti, Chad, Somalia, Benin, Sudan, Eritrea, Mali, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Niger, Algeria, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Senegal, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Libya, Comoros, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Uganda, as well as European countries such as Spain, the UK, Norway, Albania, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and Turkey, along with the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Peru.
This statistic highlights the broad reach of the university's educational services, spanning geographically from the Philippines in the east to the United States in the west, and from Norway in the north to Peru in South America.
