Graduate Studies Unit Welcomes 984 Students from 67 Countries

Ms. Amina Adel, Director of the Graduate Studies Unit at the Office of Student Affairs at the Islamic University of Minnesota, announced that the number of graduate students has reached 984, representing 67 nationalities from various continents around the world.

Adel pointed out that the students represent a clear geographical diversity, with their presence extending from Germany in Northern Europe to South Africa, and from American Samoa in East Oceania to Canada and Ecuador in the Americas.

This group of students comes from 21 Asian countries, including Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, and Palestine, in addition to 32 African countries such as Egypt, Sudan, Libya, and Tunisia. There are also students from 5 European countries including Germany, Italy, and France, 3 North American countries including the United States and Canada, and 2 South American countries including Brazil and Ecuador.

Interestingly, the university has been able to attract students from the continent of Oceania, with students from Australia, Wallis and Futuna, and American Samoa. These countries are considered very remote, with the International Date Line passing through the island of Wallis and Futuna, highlighting the global reach of the university.
