Vice Chancellor Appoints Female Directors to Prominent Administrative Positions

Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University of Minnesota, has issued a decision to appoint three women to prominent administrative positions at the university. Ms. Halima Mohammed has been appointed as the Director of Graduate Student Affairs, succeeding Dr. Abdullah Bakri. Additionally, Professor Wafa Al-Damardash has been appointed to manage Faculty Affairs, succeeding Dr. Halima Al-Sadiya Tamali. Furthermore, Professor Amal Al-Ahdal has been appointed to the Counseling and Guidance Unit.

In a public post on the university's WhatsApp groups, Dr. Al-Maqrami congratulated the three professors and wished them success and support, expressing his confidence in their qualifications to assume responsibility and contribute to the university's development.

Dr. Al-Maqrami expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Abdullah Bakri, who spent two years managing Graduate Student Affairs, praising his efforts and achievements in promoting excellence in this department. He also commended Dr. Bakri's high ethical values and mentioned that he had provided comprehensive briefings to the new administration over the course of more than a month. Dr. Al-Maqrami wished him success in his journey to Saudi Arabia and hoped it would be blessed wherever he goes.

Dr. Al-Maqrami also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Halima Tamali, describing her as an exceptional administrator and a kind person, for her outstanding contributions during her tenure as the Dean of Faculty Affairs. He wished her success in all her endeavors and expressed his hope to meet her again in the future, after overcoming the current circumstances, affirming that her place in the university is secure at any time.

It is worth noting that Dr. Abdullah Bakri and Dr. Halima Al-Sadiya Tamali received heartfelt farewell messages and appreciation from several members of the academic and administrative bodies, in addition to receiving two official certificates of appreciation and an official thank-you letter published by the university's media center.
