The Training and Development Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota organized a training course titled "Modern Teaching Strategies," delivered by Dr. Aya Mahayneh, an Assistant Professor at the university with a PhD in Educational Foundations. The course was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Makkah time).
The course aimed to empower participants to use the latest effective teaching strategies, enhance student interaction and active participation, develop student-centered teaching skills, address individual differences within the classroom, and foster a classroom environment that supports critical thinking and innovation.
The curriculum covered the shift from traditional teaching to active learning, collaborative teaching strategies, project-based learning, flipped classrooms, blended learning, the use of educational technologies, creative classroom management techniques, consideration of different learning styles among students, and designing stimulating and realistic learning experiences.
The course targeted all faculty members, educational supervisors, and academic trainers as part of the first training program on "Organizational Change Management," organized by the center in collaboration with the College of Economics and Business.
