Minnesota, January 21, 2026 - The activities of the specialized training course titled "Entrepreneurship and Entering Emerging Markets: Preparing and Studying Investment Opportunities in the Islamic World" recently concluded at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center). The course was organized by the Training, Development, and Community Programs Center in cooperation with the College of Economics and Business Administration.

The course, which spanned three consecutive sessions on January 17, 18, and 20, 2026, aimed to enhance entrepreneurial awareness and develop practical investment skills among students and interested individuals. This aligns with global economic shifts and the focus on growth opportunities in emerging markets within the Islamic world.

Engineer Al-Mu'tasem Fa'iz, Director of the Training, Development, and Community Programs Center, emphasized that this course falls within the center's commitment to providing high-quality training programs linked to the real needs of the job market. He added that it contributes to preparing cadres capable of foreseeing opportunities and effectively dealing with transformations in the global economy.

The participants were trained by Dr. Mohammed Yunus Hamidah, a faculty member at the College of Economics and Business Administration. He covered key topics including modern entrepreneurship concepts, strategies for entering emerging markets, and methodologies for preparing and evaluating investment studies, with a focus on the distinctive characteristics of the economic and investment environment in Islamic countries.

The course participants included a group of students from the College of Economics and Business Administration across various specializations, along with interested individuals from outside the university. They showed notable interaction that enriched the discussions and deepened the practical aspect through diverse contributions and experiences.

This course is part of a series of developmental programs organized by the center in partnership with the university's colleges.
