Signing of Cooperation Agreement
Professor Eider Ghniyat, Director of the Department of External Relations and International Cooperation, announced the signing of a new cooperation agreement between the Islamic University of Minnesota, headquartered in the United States, and the Bidayat Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed on Monday, the first of Jumada II, 1446 AH, corresponding to December 2, 2024.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Islamic University of Minnesota by its President, Dr. Walid bin Idris Al-Manisi, and on behalf of the Bidayat Center by Mrs. Rinan Osama Dagistani, in the presence of several officials from both sides. Professor Ghniyat explained that this agreement, which was coordinated by the Early Childhood Department at the College of Educational Sciences, represented by Dr. Nabila Masoud, aims to enhance cooperation and create training, qualification, and employment opportunities for the center’s staff and the university’s distinguished graduates.
Professor Ghniyat pointed out that among the main provisions of the agreement is the opportunity for the educational and administrative staff at Bidayat Center to attend training courses at the university, with certificates of attendance being granted. The agreement also allows university students to undertake voluntary field training at Bidayat Center for six months, with compliance to the center's regulations.
Additionally, the agreement includes the possibility of cooperating to employ outstanding graduates from the university based on the center’s needs, as well as collaborating to establish specific training and qualification programs for the center’s educational and administrative staff, either in person or remotely.
In the context of the agreement, Dr. Zainab Ali Basyouni, Deputy Dean of the University, emphasized during her meeting with the center's director and accompanying delegation the importance of partnerships with various institutions in both the public and private educational sectors. Furthermore, Ms. Areej Al-Tarir from Bidayat Center highlighted the significance of the partnership with the Islamic University of Minnesota, particularly regarding the potential for future programs.
Attending the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding from the Islamic University of Minnesota were Dr. Eider Ghniyat, Dr. Ali El-Shboul, Dean of the College of Educational Sciences Professor Abdullah Abdul Nabi, Dr. Nabila Masoud, and Dr. Nourhan Salama.
