Islamic University of Minnesota Signs Cooperation Agreement
The Islamic University of Minnesota, main campus, announced the signing of a qualitative cooperation agreement in the field of distance education programs with Al-Zaytuna International University on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
According to the announcement, the aim of this cooperation agreement is to enhance friendship and develop the relationship between the two universities, establishing bridges of international collaboration in academic, scientific, and research aspects. It also includes the exchange of knowledge resources, e-learning, and digital scientific materials, as well as the development of academic programs and plans that serve the students of both universities.
The announcement published on the university's official Facebook page stated that this step is part of the effort to achieve global recognition and joint academic cooperation.
For his part, Dr. Omar Al-Maqarmi, the Vice President of the Islamic University of Minnesota and Head of the main campus, praised this agreement, noting that the university boasts specialized academic staff and distinguished scholars who hold significant positions within the university and in other global institutions. He emphasized that they could facilitate further agreements and scientific partnerships with other universities and institutions.
Dr. Al-Maqarmi also affirmed that scientific agreements and academic partnerships with various scientific institutions worldwide have a significant impact on showcasing the university's achievements and promoting it, adding that these agreements benefit the teaching, student, and administrative staff of both universities.
The Vice President welcomed the establishment of bridges of collaboration and scientific partnerships with various academic and research institutions, appreciating the efforts of faculty members who strive to promote the university and facilitate the preparation of agreements in coordination with the Office of External Relations and International Cooperation.
