Islamic University Honors Prof. Mustafa Altunkaya and Six Turkish Academics
The administration of the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center announced an honorary recognition of Professor Mustafa Altunkaya, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota - Turkish Branch, along with six Turkish academics from prestigious Turkish universities. This recognition comes in appreciation of the distinguished and diverse services they have provided to the university.
The list of honorees includes Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Mohammad, Prof. Dr. Rafeq Hamood Naji QASEM, Professor Prof. Dr. Bilal GÖK, Professor Prof. Dr. İhsan SOYSALDI, Doç. Dr. Mevhibe ALPTEKİN and Assistant Professor Yusuf Okşar Doç. Dr. Yusuf OKŞAR.
In a special statement to the University News Agency, Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Maqrami, Vice President of the University and Head of the Main Center, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to these academics, emphasizing that their efforts have been significant and varied. He highlighted their key achievements, which included promoting the university within Turkish academic circles, their active support through the university’s office in Ankara, and their participation in various university activities such as scientific workshops and conferences. He also praised their role in facilitating the university’s collaboration with major Turkish institutions, such as municipalities, the Ministry of Higher Education, and Turkish universities.
The university concluded the honoring ceremony by presenting the honorees with official certificates of appreciation issued in Arabic, English, and Turkish, stamped with the university’s seal, and signed by the university’s President, Professor Waleed Al-Meneesi, and its Vice President, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami.
This recognition reaffirms the university’s commitment to appreciating the efforts of its partners and their continuous support, which has contributed to enhancing the university’s standing and academic mission both locally and internationally.
