Launch of New Electronic Portal

The Deanship of Information Technology at the Islamic University of Minnesota has announced the launch of the new electronic portal in its trial version, which includes the most important electronic services that support the educational process and is characterized by easy access to all its services.

This announcement coincided with the start of the summer semester, which began on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The Deanship confirmed that classes will be conducted during this semester through the new electronic portal, alongside the "University Educational App" and other educational channels such as Zoom and educational groups on WhatsApp.

The Deanship pointed out that the portal features advanced electronic services developed with high professionalism to enhance the academic experience and provide more efficient technical services. The Deanship welcomed inquiries and feedback from faculty members regarding the new portal.

The new portal includes several features, such as:

  • An improved user interface to facilitate usage and navigation between different services.
  • Integrated digital services that include course registration, schedule access, and educational material downloads through a single platform.
  • Performance analysis tools that provide detailed reports on academic progress.
  • An instant support system that allows direct communication with the technical support team.
  • An archive service for recorded lectures containing videos and summaries.

In this context, Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Maqrami, the University Vice President, urged faculty members to prepare a summary for each lecture in a PowerPoint or PDF file, noting that instructors can upload these summaries to the electronic portal for all students to access.

Additionally, the Dean of Faculty Affairs distributed the new academic numbers and passwords for each faculty member in collaboration with the Deanship's secretary and the administrative affairs unit manager.

The faculty members' page was filled with congratulations on this achievement, as faculty expressed gratitude and appreciation for the university's role in disseminating knowledge and education.
