Release of Ninth Issue of Quarterly Scientific Electronic Journal
The Islamic University of Minnesota announced the release of the ninth issue, "April Issue," of the quarterly peer-reviewed electronic journal, the Minnesota International Journal of Academic Studies, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
This issue, prepared by the university's media center, comprises 648 pages and includes 16 research papers in both English and Arabic. The research covers various fields, including e-learning, cultural anthropology, educational psychology, Islamic banking, educational administration, international law, and artificial intelligence in different contexts such as education and international relations.
The contributors include 16 researchers from various nationalities, with five from Jordan, three from Saudi Arabia, two from Egypt and Iraq, and one each from the UAE, Qatar, Sudan, and the UK.
In a statement to the university’s news administration, Professor Hanan Sobhi Obaid, the editor-in-chief of the journal, confirmed that all papers underwent preliminary acceptance by the editorial board before being sent to two reviewers: one internal and one external specialist. She added that all reviewers were honored with "Reviewer Appreciation Certificates" that included their names and the titles of the papers they reviewed.
Professor Obaid noted that the research aligns with developments in several fields, characterized by quality and geographical diversity among researchers. She praised the quality of the design and production, stating that the preparation for this issue lasted three months, from January to March 2025, thanks to the collaboration between the media center team and the editorial team.
She expressed her aspiration to improve the journal’s citation score after its participation in an initiative to partner with Arab and international peer-reviewed scientific journals for citation exchanges, aiming for global classification. The journal has obtained the International Standard Serial Number (E: ISSN: E:2994-9122).
It is noteworthy that the Minnesota International Journal of Academic Studies is overseen by Professor Waleed Al-Meneesi, the president of the Islamic University of Minnesota, with Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, the vice president of the University, as the editor-in-chief. The editorial management is led by Professor Hanan Sobhi Obaid, head of the graduate studies department and scientific deputy of the dean of the College of Media, while Dr. Abdu Naser Al-Sailani handles the editorial secretariat, with language editing by Associate Professor Dr. Badi'a Abdulqadir.
The journal has an advisory board consisting of 48 professors and doctors, and an editorial board of 49 members across various academic ranks. It is published electronically with a distinguished design by Jordanian graphic designer Abdullah Darrs, under the supervision of the media center director, engineer Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mansoub.
