Islamic University Appoints Awf and El-Shboul to Key Positions

The media center affiliated with the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center has announced the appointment of Dr. Osama Awf as the new Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Department in the College of Arts and Humanities. Dr. Awf, an accomplished scholar with a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature, brings extensive experience in teaching and research. He succeeds Dr. Ali Al-Sha'ari in this role.

Dr. Awf, originally from Egypt, has an impressive academic background, having served as an Assistant Professor in Modern Literature, Criticism, and Rhetoric at the College of Basic Education in Kuwait. He is actively involved in various literary organizations and has authored several books and critical studies. With 24 years of experience in education in Kuwait and the United States, Dr. Awf's appointment brings a wealth of knowledge to the university.

In addition, the media center also congratulated Dr. Ali El-Shboul on his appointment as the Deputy Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature. Dr. El-Shboul, hailing from Jordan, holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Linguistics: Spanish and Arabic. He has a distinguished academic record and has taught Spanish and Arabic to non-native speakers at several Jordanian universities. Dr. El-Shboul has made significant contributions to the fields of Spanish and Arabic languages and literature through his published works and participation in conferences.

These appointments signify the Islamic University of Minnesota's commitment to fostering excellence in Arabic language and literature education and research within the College of Arts and Humanities.
