University Vice-Chancellor Inaugurates the Manuscripts Center and Heritage Research

In celebration of the inauguration of the Manuscripts and Heritage Research Center, Dr. Omar bin Ahmed Al-Maqrami, the Vice-Chancellor and Head of the Main Center at the University, announced, with the blessing of the President of the Islamic University, Professor Waleed bin Idris Al-Menisi. This special event was organized by the university's media center.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, Dr. Al-Maqrami emphasized the importance of the Manuscripts Center in preserving cultural and historical heritage, providing a suitable environment for the preservation, maintenance, and study of ancient and rare manuscripts. He expressed his hope that the center would contribute to enhancing cultural communication, academic cooperation, scientific research, and a deep understanding of history and culture.

As part of the event, the management team of the center was unveiled, with Dr. Imad Qadri Al-Ayadhi serving as the center's president, Dr. Abu-Bakr Al-Sayed as the director, and Dr. Sanya Salama as the center's secretary.

A video was presented, illustrating the center's mission and its various units, such as the Manuscripts Archive Unit and the Education and Collaboration Unit with the College of Islamic Studies, in addition to collaboration with other universities and manuscript centers. A media file was published, outlining the center's vision, mission, objectives, and tasks.

The center aims to collect valuable manuscripts and rare documents and make them available to researchers and the scientific community, with the goal of enriching scientific research and transmitting knowledge to current and future generations.
