Scientific Symposium "Palestine Throughout History"
As part of its ongoing efforts to support scientific research, the Training and Development Center, in collaboration with the Department of History and Archaeology at the Islamic University of Minnesota, organized a scientific Symposium titled "Palestine Throughout History: Paths of Transformation and Future Challenges." The Symposium took place on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 8:00 to 10:30 PM Mecca time.
The Symposium featured distinguished academics including Dr. Abdel-Baqi Al-Sayed Abdel-Hadi Al-Qattan, Professor of Islamic History; Dr. Siham Abdulbaqi Mohammed, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology; Dr. Wala Mohammed Mahmoud, Assistant Professor of Islamic History; Dr. Mohammed Saeed Itameneh, Assistant Professor of Islamic History; and Dr. Nabawiya Ahmed Abdulhafidh, Professor of History. The Symposium was moderated by Dr. Taj Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Ibn Khaldoon University, Algeria.
This Symposium comes in light of the difficult circumstances faced by the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing unprecedented acts of extermination amidst silence and complicity from the international community. The Symposium aims to shed light on the history of Palestine and the future challenges it faces, striving to provide scholarly insights contributing to the understanding of this crucial issue.
