Tasks

The tasks carried out by the administration: 

  • Administrative supervision of its affiliated departments and assigning employees to carry out their work tasks. 
  • Following up the implementation of the administrative and financial rules and regulations in all its affiliated departments. 
  • Securing the university's needs of laboratories, equipment, machinery and furniture.
  •  Following up the annual inventory of the university's warehouses and the appropriate inventory of its assets. 
  • Formatting inventory committees and assessment of warehouse needs and tools by disbursement from warehouses. 
  • Following up the settlement of advances and covenants. 
  • Reviewing the final account of the university. 
  • Reviewing the special appropriations in the budget items.

Financial Department

Overview

It is one of the university departments associated with the university president, and aims to undertake all financial and accounting work in accordance with the instructions and regulations in force, whether the regulations of universities or the regulations of the Ministry of Finance, and the preparation of financial reports and the final account annually. The department follows the accounting and auditing department, the accounts department, and the orders department Payment, check and cash department.

Tasks

Most Prominent Tasks 

  • Carrying out all computational work, such as linking and disbursing dues, reviewing and paying advances, and keeping books and records according to applicable laws, regulations, instructions, and orders. 
  • Participating in the preparation of the draft general budget of the university. 
  • Implementing financial regulations and regulations and following up the movement of budget items, noting that the soundness of disbursement is verified and that financial appropriations are not exceeded. 
  • Preparing the necessary accounts and financial reports (such as the monthly account and the final account required by the competent government agencies). 
  • Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements, and proposals to develop its work. 
  • Preparing transfer notes to and from budget items. 
  • Recording appropriations and entering items into the financial management program. 
  • Preparing bank reconciliation statements, revenues and closing accounts at the end of the fiscal year. 
  • Carrying out the periodic inventory of the fund and preparing the minutes thereof. 
  • Carrying out collection and disbursement procedures to fulfill the university's obligations.
