Training Center Organizes Workshop on Contract Drafting Skills


 

The Training and Development and Community Programs Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota, the main center, organized a training workshop entitled "Contract Drafting Skills" delivered by Dr. Jamal Abdulaziz Al-Othman on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM Mecca time.

The workshop aims to introduce participants to various aspects of contract drafting, including the definition of a contract, its elements, types, the difference between it and a memorandum of understanding, factors that help in drafting it well, guidelines to be followed before concluding it, characteristics of professional drafting, essential elements for integrated drafting, preparing for it in terms of determining the purpose, potential risks and emergencies, penalties and guarantees, rights and obligations, skills in using questions before starting drafting, the mechanism for drafting contract clauses, the formality of those clauses, and prohibitions on drafting.

The workshop targeted students from inside and outside the university and all those interested in its subject. Committed participants were awarded certificates upon completion of the program, which were distributed through the center's platform on the university's official website, which is the platform where the workshop video will be uploaded.

Engineer Al-Moatasem Faez, Director of the Training and Development and Community Programs Center, stated that the workshop achieved great success, as it witnessed a remarkable attendance from students and those interested in its subject. He stressed the importance of organizing such training workshops that contribute to developing students' skills and enhancing their abilities.
