Regular Meeting of the Administrative Affairs Unit for Colleges
The Administrative Affairs Unit for Colleges at the Islamic University of Minnesota held its regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Nourhan Salama, the unit director, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 9 PM Mecca time.
The meeting lasted for a full hour, during which several important topics related to the unit's workflow were discussed. Among the main topics was the performance monitoring of the administrative affairs team for the colleges, including oversight of deans, department heads, and college secretaries, as well as responding to inquiries from faculty members and students and directing them to the relevant authorities.
The meeting also addressed administrative issues related to exams, with an emphasis on the necessity for faculty members to be present during their course examinations to anticipate any emergencies.
Regarding archiving techniques, a comprehensive explanation was provided on how to use the colleges' drive, including organizing faculty files and handling various transactions such as secondments, transfers, and certificates.
As for the preparations for the second academic semester, necessary administrative arrangements were discussed, including room scheduling forms, audio recordings, and the preparation of self-learning schedules in collaboration with department heads.
The meeting also included listening to and discussing feedback from the members of the administrative affairs team, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and interaction within the unit.
In attendance, alongside Dr. Nourhan Salama, were Ms. Samira Al-Saghir, Administrative Affairs Officer at the College of Educational Sciences; Ms. Anisa Ahmed, Administrative Affairs Officer at the College of Arts and Humanities; Ms. Hanadi Abdullah, Administrative Affairs Officer at the College of Computers and Information Technology; Dr. Badia Abdulqadir, Administrative Affairs Officer at the College of Media; and Ms. Khadija Redman, Administrative Affairs Officer at the College of Developmental Studies.
