International agreements and treaties
The Islamic University of Minnesota
In order to achieve the global recognition and joint academic cooperation, the university has sought to conclude agreements and treaties with many international universities. The number of agreements has reached more than (50) agreements, including: twinning agreements, confessions, equations, ratifications, and cooperation in various fields. The most prominent of these agreements and treaties are the following:
Al-Azhar University:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has established a cooperation agreement in the distance education program with Al-Azhar University, which is an international Islamic scientific university, the largest, and the third oldest university in the world after Al-Zaytoonah and Al-Qarawiyyin universities.
International University of Africa:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has signed a memorandum of understanding between with the International University of Africa - Sudan, which is an independent international scientific university with a special nature in its mission and objectives.
This memorandum aims to strengthen friendship and develop the relationship between the two universities, build bridges of international cooperation between them in the academic, scientific and research aspects, exchange knowledge sources, e-learning and digital scientific subjects, and develop academic programs and plans to serve students of the two universities.
University of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Studies:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Studies, a Sudanese public university with legal personality, and it is a member of the Association of Arab Universities and the Association of African Universities.
This memorandum aims to enhance joint cooperation in the academic and research fields, community service and innovation, and everything that achieves the nation’s renaissance and leadership, through a number of programs, most notably: developing academic and research activities, exchanging and developing curricula, organizing conferences and seminars, scientific publishing, exchanging faculty members and students and qualifying and training human frameworks to serve the students of the two universities.
Islamic University of Kenya:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Islamic University of Kenya, which is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. The agreement has included mutual recognition, equivalencies, completion of studies between the two sides, and the possibility of participating in Distance Education Programs. The University's Public Relations Department has set the requirements for accrediting certificates by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
Al-Arabi Tebessi University (Larbi Tebessi University):
The Islamic University of Minnesota has established a scientific agreement between it and the University of Larbi Tebessa (Tebessa - Algeria), aimed at developing and strengthening friendship and cooperation between them in the scientific, technological and research fields, and supporting the capabilities and academic qualifications of each of them, through a number of programs, most notably: Exchange visits of professors and researchers, and supervise students.
Al-shahid Hamma Lakhdar- El Wadi University:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has established a cooperation agreement with the University of Al-shahid Hamma Lakhdar- El Wadi in Algeria, which is a governmental institution of a scientific, cultural and professional nature.
The agreement aims to cooperate in research programs, exchange researchers, joint supervision of doctoral theses, exchange research publications, and hold forums and symposia to serve the students of the two universities.
Faculty of Islamic Studies and University of Novi Paza - Serbia:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has signed a cooperation agreement, mutual recognition and equivalency of degrees with the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Novi Pazar and the International University of Novi Pazar in Serbia, which are recognized locally and internationally. Under these agreements, holders of Bachelor's degree from the Islamic University of Minnesota, to register for master's and doctoral stages at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Novi Pazar in the fields of Islamic studies, as well as at the International University of Novi Pazar in the field of Islamic economics.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amin Al-Shanqiti University:
The Islamic University of Minnesota has established a cooperation agreement between with Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amin Al-Shanqiti University in Nouakchott - Mauritania, a public university accredited by the Mauritanian Ministry of Higher Education.
The agreement aims to strengthen academic cooperation in several programs, most notably: the recognition, equivalence, ratifications, and cooperation in the field of development and quality, the media aspect, and in the field of Distance Education to serve the students of the two universities.
