Committee tasks
- Receiving applications for scientific promotions, documenting them, organizing their data, and saving them.
- Examining the files of applicants for promotion, and ensure that they fulfill all the documents and conditions stipulated in this regulation.
- Preliminary examination of scientific production, recording notes and instructions for applicants in the event of a shortage or defect in their files.
- Preparing a report on each academic promotion request that includes information on the applicant’s file and evidence that he has met its terms and conditions, in order to refer it to the arbitration committee.
- Referring promotion requests that meet the conditions and controls approved from the initial examination to the specialized arbitration committee according to specific forms.
- Following up the arbitration committee, consider its results, act on the recommendations of the arbitrators, and complete the rest of the promotion procedures or not, to be submitted to the Scientific Council for approval, accompanied by a full report in the applicant's file.
- Submitting studies and proposals to develop systems, bylaws, and work mechanisms related to promotions and related topics to ensure continuous improvement of the committee's performance.
